I'm a "dog" person, but I always look at the cat pictures because they are so much more photogenic than dogs. This shot is exceptional. The detail and color are striking, and you've captured a very interesting pose. Very nicely done Andrew. Now you have to go to my portfolio and see my dog Annie.

I'll look up the article on dodging and burning.
The bright light is so overwhelming and distracting that in my view they ruin an otherwise good image and I feel thatalmost any lengths are justified to try and eliminate it.
See what you think of this version modified by some very crude cloning.
