About	i like this shot because it shows scale and is a small snapshot of the little girl's awe at yet another stunning temple in Kyoto - but are the bars just very distracting in your eyes?! i know my friend david henderson would chide me for not getting up close and personal! ;) all critiques much appreciated. thanks, jo

It is very expressive but to be honest I think it does not enhance the image. You may wanna try 2 solid black bars and see what they do. I think more effective.
Keep experimenting, it is inspiring !
