About I'm not sure about this one. I drastically cropped to make it narrower which I think was the correct thing to do. I needed to try to seperate the greens from the yellows as the print I scanned from looked fairly muddy. These must be the toughest colours to alter seperately! I've played as much as I can without ruining it! I'm at the tough end of the photoshop learning curve and not yet a massively accomplished photographer. Any tips/ratings/advice/criticism greatly appreciated on all my images! Thanks for looking.

Daniel, definitely, the crop works well to my eyes. Exposure is very nice, and there is a nice depth from the curves and the thin distant view between the foreground and the sky. You had two choices here - one to make it look real and dramatic, and the other to look artificial and more dramatic. But as you say in your bio, photoshop is to enhance, not to add, or make photos look artificial. This strikes me as probably very similar to vision you left here with. Nice job.

I like the composition of this one! Great horizon line shot! Reminds me of the paintings of Keith Jacobshagen:

Such a cool image, the colours are wonderful, contrast with the sky a wonderful visual. Tough one to work on in PS, but it's a great image. Cheers!

David, The unusual crop works wonders here.
Personally, I feel an inch off the top may give more balance and help focus the eye on the interesting 'lower' clouds.
Nice work.

Hello Daniel,
I like the way you have cropped this photo allthough I would have cropped some more on the sky. The dandilion field looks great and so is the sky. Maybe you could brighten the sky some more in PS (edit on the levels)so it would match more with the brightness of the flowers and grass. Anyway... this is a wonderful image!

IMO you've done a great work with this one! I really like the thin crop, it focus the attention on the flowers and the sky, the meaning parts of the photo... It seems to me you've achieved a very good result with photoshop curves, i can see even an interesting game of light in background... Only thing i can say: if you want to make the sky even more dramatic, try to add (on PS 6 or later) a "gradient overlay" as a layer effect, from black to white and choose the "linear burn" as blending mode. Play a bit with the opacity of it and i think you will have a good surprise... Regards! Lorenzo
