I love the focus in this shot. The prickly needles of the poppy's "shell" are real sharp and then it starts to get all soft... very much like rality. Wonderful shot.

Bears a strange resemblance to this Irish dude who used to hang out in basement of the Bull Dog Cafe all day grooving to his Walkman. The low lighting is powerful and dramatic and the red against the inky black couldn't be serendipity. Just one question: Where're the wires?

The DOF is perfect here - and not just because I love shallow DOFs. For those who claim that is the reason I like it - it works very well - here it gives a depth - the headphont on the right is sharp and the headphone on the left is blurred and the red head is trapped between and this makes for a dynamic image imo.
Perhaps not so much sharpness on the neck, I don't know...

But Marion, surely you remember his chin? He had forgotten to shave, obviously, and kept rubbing his chin every time he came to our table. It sounded like sandpaper, and we laughed so much about how it would be to kiss him!
The night - Yes, the night. Your work, then as now, is wonderful. Fleur

Do you remember the waiter who served us the night we spent at Shephard's Hotel in Cairo? Your flower reminds me so much of him. Love, Fleur
