Thank you all for your comments. There is minimal PS work on this shot (mainly cropping and yes, a sharpen filter or two...), the nice twinkly bits are on the original print.
Diana, no offense taken at your comments re the sharpness of the image. I think my scanner and monitor are a bit 'dodgy', so that might be the reason they look too sharp to you. I'd love to get a look at my work on a decent set up, but being the poor student that I am, I don't think I'll be able to for a couple more years!
Good capture Louise. Photo's like this always look great in black and white, si it is really a good choice. I wonder.... did you edited a lot in PS? I think it is a bit pity you sharpened it too much, maybe using unsharp mask (I noticed the same with your other twoo pictures)? Hope I didn't offend you. Regards, Diana.
