About	Altaf pointed out what I knew--the original was too dark in the scan--voila--I just figured how to lighten it in Adobe--now I'm torn between a future career as a photoshop tekkie or just reposting all my images...it's a difficult decision! Suggestions?

This one is better than the other one William.
I always feel a little uneasy about doing too much tweeking on the computer, I suspect you are the same?? But, anyway, sometimes it does make the image better for web viewing.
