About Taken on the way to Church in Philadelphia. I remember thinking this pic was a total mistake. I wanted the person to be out of the frame and when he entered I wanted him to be facing my direction. Anyway, I sort of liked the way it turned out. By sheer accident this pic reminds me that famous James Dean photo.

Carlos, Thanks so much for your comments. You have convinced me that I should enlarge this photograph. I used to be mostly against large prints (16 inches or larger)but I was recently convinced to make some large prints and I love it! In fact I recently did one of "Chinatown Rollerblader" which you suggested and I think it looks so much better. The tones are better and you can see much more detail. Thanks again.

There is a beautiful ?loneliness? in your portfolio that I love Paul ? I?m also partial to the elegant and artistic presentation of each of the images
? and ?Sunday Morning??is a favourite among them!

I would prefer seeing a larger version of this beautiful lonely picture, however? 10? at least!
If landscapes merit ?large?, shouldn?t cityscapes?
And about ?Chinatown rollerblader?? Another great idea and beautiful picture! But I think to see it larger would be a bigger blast.
Anyway? just one opinion - but I think it applies to your work in general.

Cheers

I really like the mood of this image and the nice range of tones. The composition works well to draw the viewers into the picture while the person is well-placed at a (near) third to anchor the foreground. I find the brightness of the pedestrian crossing line at the bottom of the frame mildly distracting. I think it can be cropped without affecting the composition. Nice shot.

I as well like this as well. Sometimes you have to detach yourself from your own work to truely gain a new and honest perspective of it.

i can feel this one Paul ... i love the street image ... this tessar makes for a smooth image (keep it!) .. it's a moment that reminds me of a cool fall morning ... it's like a moment between you and this scene that we get to feel with you ... well done.
