Wonderful monochromatic shot with lovely mood. I really like the shoreline at the bottom. It frames the shot nicely and balances out the distant silhouettes. The softness of the water adds to the mood. The composition is simple but effective. Well-seen, well-executed.

Thank you all so much for your comments. I'll definitely keep the foreground in the shot.
Arreymbuo, thank you for your lovely comment. I believe the blackspot is either a piece of driftwood or a fisher's buoy.
Kim, the black foreground is the shoreline. Because the tide was coming in, the rocks on the shore were dry and did not reflect the colors of the sunset.
Again, thanks everyone for your thoughts. -- Michelle

Gorgeous. I agree to leave the black in.. anchors the bottom of the image. What is it though? Looks almost to wavy to be rocks... Anyways, very cool photo with amazing colour!

When I see something like this, I just tell myself, " Arrey, you still have more than alot to learn." The foreground is okay. Just leave it where it is.
But what is that spot right top, 30cm from right to left?

Yes, I agree, keep the black. The colours are lovely but I think mostly because of the contrast. Fine image, Michelle. I like it.

I like the black in foreground. Otherwise the picture gets too monotonous
