Hi Daniel,

I love this shot. The DOF is amazing considering that it's a macro. I can see that your lens is a 28-80,but do you know what the focal length was for this particular shot?

Thanks.

Laura

Daniel, thank you for taking my "Cupping Light" to your favs. I am honoured that you liked it so much.

THIS image of yours is incredible. The macro work on this is outstanding, and in return I am taking it to my favs.

Well done with this one - truly a great piece of work.

My favorite of all you sunflowers. Makes me feel like a bee. Again I cant find anything wrong with it.

Amitava, the lens I used for this image is a 28-80 with macro. I couldn't wait for the flower to fill out as I was leaving in a couple of days to go to Veracruz, Mexico. The background was a pale off white so I placed a blue cloth in the background to try and give is a sky felling. When I returned from Mexico this beautiful flower was on its way out.

Wonderfully dynamic composition.
What did you use to get this high a magnification?
You might have found a "fuller" flower so that the odd bits of color don't show between the petals, or make sure the background color is uniform. Also, you might find a way to eliminate the dark band at the bottom. Is it the shadow of the lens and/or attachments?

I cannot resist them either. It's such a beautiful creationand you did it justice. Well done

PSaniel with reference to your comment in my picture Totem 1: I added the eyes in photoshop to give it a more life like appearance.

Thanks for the interest, time and comment. Christiane
