About It was a bright sunny day and I was crossing my fingers that this long exposure would work with just my ND filter in front. Some highlights are present, but all in all I think it worked.

Hi Colleen!
Thanks for the comment on Sunlight Falls... this was taken at Minter Gardens in Chilliwack / Bridal Falls close to Vancouver in BC. It's a huge garden tourist attraction although I found the waterfalls more photogenic than the flowers!
I will have to work with PS about the sunflare and see if my skills aer up to the task of either removing or repairing that leaf in the lower left.

This is just stunning! You got the little rainbow and everything! The way the water flows through the rocks and the plants are in the perfect place is just astonishing... I love how you have the water fall flowing off the the shot as if it's coming off instead of panning it to the right and getting the whole boring thing (I mean come on, everyone takes pictures of water falls, you gotta mix it up a bit!). The flare at the top and the leaf that's broken is the only thing I would change, but it's like nothing, so I prolly wouldn't worry about it at all..

GREAT shot!

Where on earth did you find this awesome shot?

I have to try this sometime. It worked really well here I think, very nice with the maxim DOF, a tiny bit of glare which we can live with and lovely colours and details everywhere.

Well done!

Regards,
Ciprian

This is such a beautiful capture, Kim.
It's so smooth it seems like frozen.

Keen soft water effect! In terms of getting the exposure and shutter speeds down, I think this is your best one to date. The softness is fantastic.

Would it have been possible to pan the photo more to the right? I would like to see more of the right side of the falls (especially since there's an aisle of uninteresting dark rock on the left), though that could just be my everpresent symmetry freak talking. I'd like to hear the opinion of others on the flare issue. I'm not sure I like it. I find the flare at the top a bit distracting. The same goes for the bottom rainbow flare, though I think it would work if it was more pronounced.

The only other suggestion I can think of is to try and rebuild the missing bottom half of the leaf in the bottom left hand corner.

Thanks again for your insights Dirck! I never even noticed the top of that rock, but the flow is interuppted because of it. Lucky for me this waterfall is within a touristy flower garden and I can get back to it easily!
Thanks again for your comment!

Great soft waterfall effect - and you even got a little rainbow in there as a bonus! I've been dying for a chance to shoot one of these, but just haven't found any waterfalls (of course I live in Florida - not many waterfalls here!) Beautiful shot, I only wish I could see the top of that one rock at the top...
