Mark,
WOW that is red!. The colors are great as is the sharpness but I am not sure about the crop. I think its a bit tight at the top. Asloit would be nice to pull some detail out of the shadow area but wih Provia that would be hard.

Mark,
excellent color, composition and detail.
The only thing is that it seems like a bit more sky at the top might be slightly better.
It seems to be jammed up against the top of the frame.
Just some thoughts.

I know what you are saying. I couldn't get a better angle because it was too crowded on the pier (other club members) and I was trying to get that little cloud in the shot. The cloud kept on moving so I had to shoot from the hip. Also, one of the judges told me that sometimes it's okay to bend the rules alittle.

I like this lighthouse too. I think you have great color on this shot, my only issue is that the subject is so centered.
