Simply stunning. Beautiful duotone treatment. Perhaps just the merest of crops to the right would help as my eye keeps moving there looking for something.
Like it a lot.

So very explorative. I always avoid con trails like the plague.. you embrace them visually... SUPERB

@all: thank you so much for your kind comments.

@mary: i love the poem, thanks. :-)
my sea series (more coming soon) were shot on a north sea island. this one was made by low tide. i found the stick standing there and my first idea was a native totem, too. and yet very unlikely it's one, i'm glad you had the same thought. :-)

Con Trails

Reverse meteors
rise up against the night
trailing condensation.

With blunt thumbnail,
I trace a path
across your stomach
and with a quick kiss,
roll out of bed
to avoid crashing.

Whether the stick was created or found I do not know but it looks like a totem on a pole checking out the future...I like how the con-trails (the funnny clouds left by the condensation trails of plains - which is what these look like to me) lead into the totem -creates a powerful focal point. I also like how the foam of the surf along the water-line echoes the feel of the con-trails. Excellent composition.
