Chris - you've done it again! Wonderful photograph with a very interesting choice for the forground. You seem to have a knack finding the sacred in the seemingly secular, and then inviting your viewer to enter into that magical realm. I am intrigued about how you lighted the logs?? It does not appear to be full-on flash??
Great work...I've enjoyed many shots in your portfolio.

Chris; this shows a dramatic contrast of textures which is kind of cool. Considering the back lighting, you did a good job of exposing the logs.

Chris, I get a strange feeling that this is a composite, not that detracts from the result. The light quality on the logs and the black midground/sky just feel a tad inconsistent. The green field also 'feels' wrong to me.

I still thing the result is worth the effort though. Congrats.

Excellent. The lighting on the logs is just right. The log standing on the right really adds nicely to the composition. Great picture. Don.

Doing quite well of late Chris that all you have to do is shoot in your backyard and pick out things and do them the best you can do. Excellent image and capture.

Chris, I really like this image. The tones throughout the image are consistent. Even your frame is consistent. Is this a plugin for Photoshop? Regards, Mike

Exceptional image. Cries out for STEREO, but hey, you almost made it look stereo in just two dimensions. Amazing! I love the human scale of the carefully piled up logs and the contrast with the vast scale of the sky beyond. Great that that rift in the clouds is in just the right place for the greatest photographic effect. I was just going to put it in my favourites when I realised that as a friend's photo, I automatically get to look at it every time a new friend's photo is uploaded. Great!
