About I phoned Nikon today ~ it'll be at least another 2 weeks before my D70's back!! :o((

Not sure the trigger finger can wait that long. I took some more shots with the 8700 today, but it's just not the same! I went and had a cup of tea while it focussed.

This tea room is in the lovely Exmoor village of Bossington. What a photogenic place! can't wait to get back there on a balmy summer's day.

Best regards to all,

Chris

Wonderful texture effect on the building. Restrained colours. Well framed.

(Just goes to show: the old cliche about the craftsman having the skill remains true today - with or without the D70, you can still come up trumps!)

Cheers

Len

Hi Chris, I have been away for about 4 weeks due to business commitments and I return to find about 75 new photos of yours! I have no clue where you find the time and energy to produce so much work - and top quality work at that!! This is a lovely shot. The lighting on the thatch is great and the deep blue sky compliments the pastel colours of the building beautifully!

Best wishes, Patrick

What happened to your D70, Chris? You have been doing such beautiful work with it... I've resolved never to trade in another camera, so these days, if one starts to play up, I can always go back to an earlier love. Of course mechanical rangefinders are essentially pretty robust...

I love this picture and was just about to complain about even the clouds & sky cooperating with a pastor and how that's not fair to the rest of us! :-)

Hope you get your camera back soon but I'm really enjoying these pictures so maybe a good thing for us, if not for you.

Hi Chris! The photo is too edgy at the hood so i guess it is a merge. Anyway it is well done.

This is another great shot, Chris. I am sorry to hear of your D70. Mine one fortunately, is still clicking after more than 20,000 clicks now. I do not know how long it will last though. Kind regards, Art

It's a merger, Joe, but I'm curious as to what gave it away!
Kind regards, Chris

Nice shot! great composition! The sky and the building look like two different pictures, did you merge them together or it is just one shot! curious.

Best regard Joe!
