Thanks for the comments. I know what you mean about the sky. I probably could have used a little faster shutter speed if nothing else. Grace is only two. I was actually trying to make some adjustments to get the whole scene into focus, when I glanced up and saw that look...so I just grabbed the shot. It was the first time she wasn't acting completely silly all day (she's really a cut-up!). Despite the fact that Grace is little soft (probably even worse from the scan), I was pretty happy with it. I definitely need to work on my control of the lighting situation though.

Great concept and setting, but you seem to need a better DOF to keep Tess in focus and maybe a different time of day to prevent the blown out sky. A polarizing filter would help, I think.

How old is Grace? She seems so little, but her expression is so...knowing or something. Nice pair of subjects.
