Taken in September (when there was still some sunshine in Wales - it's been raining all through October/November - or so it seems!) I'm fast running out of recent shots, so I prey for better weather.
Strong composition, Sarah. Maybe needs a to be a touch sharper, but I'm not too bothered by the sky as others have mentioned. If you wanted to change it, you could try a digital colour filter; just add colour in another layer and fine tune the percentage saturation until you are happy.
Thanks for the comments on my railway tracks. It's the Heart of Wales Line at Llangennech. It is used regularly, but this is a crossing point with good visibility. The "station" is behind me in this photo. Glad you liked it.
I totally agree about the polariser. When I set off on this day, the sky was looking a bit changable, so I decided to leave the filter at home. Big mistake - the sun came out, and I learnt a big lesson - always come prepared!!
a circular polarizer could have been nice with this to bring out the clouds a bit more in the sky. also, if you were standing just to the left a wee bit more. i wouldn't mind seeing more of the curve and perhaps the rest of the road leading off into the distance. don't let the rain stop you sarah. get out with an umbrella and go for some dark stormy moody stuff. 8)
