I like the John Hancock more because you can park in the building (6th thru 12th floor) and you don't have to leave the building in the cold weather to go up to the observation deck. There is a nice restuarant on the 95th floor and I believe the cost is less then the Sears Tower. Just my personal preference.

Thanks for the advice. From looking at the map, the planatarium looks like a good angle. I was thinking about going to the Sears Tower observation deck. Which one do you prefer? (John Hancock or Sears Tower)

Thank you for your comments to my photos. While in Chicago try a make it up to the John Hancock Bldg (94th floor observatory) and a must see spot is the city view as seen from the Adler Planetarium. That is my favorite view of the city.

I know the moon isn't that big, but I like the way it looks. I'm going to Chicago next week. Do you know of any good spots for pictures?

The cityscape is great and exposed perfectly! The moon seems way too big for the scene and unrealistically large. Can't wait to see more of your work. I shoot similar subjects.

Thanks for your recent comment on my work, comments like yours help a photographer to improve his skils.
This is a nice peace of PS work. The two photo's appart are also just great, the moon is sharp, quit detailt. The city has good shapes and back light, only one building on the right side seems to be drowning in the light, but that just happens.
Excellent work! Greets Tim.

Nice job, Mark. There's no missing that famous Chicago skyline, which you captured so well on this clear night. I know it's corny but it would have been neat to see a silhouette of Santa in his sleigh with the whole reindeer contingent flying in front of the moon, would have made a neat Chritmas card. Maybe next year. Thanks for stating that this was a composite, that is a good teaching tool. And, you did a very nice job, no harsh cut and paste line around the moon. Isn't Photoshop fun, even for the diehard film buffs -- the best of both worlds. Happy New Year to you!

VERY GOOD! The moon looks perfect and the outline of it looks pretty good for a collage work. Also the exposure on the moon is very good so the details are perfect! About the city, also the exposure looks enouph good and the most of the lamps looks pretty normal without overexposure or underexposure problems. Last one, the sky is perfect without noise, grainy or hot spots, pretty soft and the dark colour scale is very nice. Good shot, excellent collage work.
