Ondrej, When I said what I feel about this picture, I said only what I've learned tell now... and I want to thank you for opening more doors to learn... I agree with what you said... I know I have still a lot to learn and more open space to see the world through the lens than the tight 2/3 composition and the golden role... I read so many books... and my graphic background and talent helped more in understanding the composition... but in the photo world it is till wider, and more complex... I still see so many pictures winning awards, and I stare at them trying to find out "WHY??" .... But what I've learned from that site is still quite a lot... since I have in my library on my laptop more than 998 thumbnails... and I can't find one to post now... after what I've seen and learned.. Thank you again. a
Ondrej, Thats an interesting comment to me as I too have really just taken up photography and putting it onthe web at the same time. It makes me aware that I should look out for it "massaging" my style too. Looking forward to your "Sudek" style. H:)
Aiman, I appreciate you comment and understand what you mean by clutterd image and harsh lighting. I beliele you would say something else if you see my large photo on classical bromium paper. I must say this image is my most favorite to date for two reasons: 1) It is complex. I know that web presentation of very small images (480points) tends to make large well defined main objects to be attractive. I started to present my images on web just shortly after I started to photograh, now I see it formed my "style" I am not very happy about that and want to break it. 2) My most favourite photographer is famous Czech photographer Josef Sudek, he was a genius. I received several comments about this image and also another one that I am going to post just today "it reminds me of Sudek". I have still not found my style and if my style would be compared to Sudek I would be VERY proud. I love the same objects as hi did, THIS comes from my heart. .. quite long, sorry to bother you all...
I love the way you see things, tones and abstraction... went through your portfolio, you have wonderful shots... I feel this one is clutterd, even though by keen looking... the composition is wonderful.. but your simple ones I think is more powerful... and I feel also the lighting and the grainy texture is a bit harsh also...
