About An old place full of graphitis, with all the risk of being at the time when the train goes across the bridge, and being at a 60mts height... simply not the best place where anyone would like to be...

I like the composition. The starkness of the dark bridge contrasts well against the whiteness of the sky.Maybe a little cropping of the left margin will improve it.

Might be my monitor. When I tilt it up now I can see some faint clouds.

You're pretty close to what you were looking for. A few highly subjective suggestions. I'd like to see some detail in the black areas and a crop on the left to take out the unecessary sky. Also, I would prefer the top not clipped. I like the tone which works well here. perhaps a bit of grain would also look nice. I don't find the sky blown out BTW.

The sky doesnt look that blown out to me... I can still see the clouds. But I do think the lower part is a bit underexposed. I'm not really impressed by the composition actually, that's what I consider to be the main "problem" so to speak.

The center is completely empty, and the main lines in the photo do not really lead anywhere except for the empty gateway in the end of the photo. Maybe you should try to find a diagonal to be the main line going more from bottom left to upper right or mid-right to base the composition on?

Just some ideas.

Regards,
Julien

thanks bart, actually i was trying to get the low part a little dark, to give the more "scary" look, but i think i underexpose it a little. casually i had planned to go near that place just in about 2 hours, so maybe i?ll stop by and reshot it... thanks a lot for the advice, and BTW, i love your portfolio, each shot is some great piece of work!
later my friend...

Congrats on the new camera! I think your metering was off here due to the bright sky that dominates the background. Try metering on the middle tone areas, lock your exposure in with the AE-L button, recompose and see if that doesn't give a more balaced exposure. This will avoid the blown-out sky and black areas, and add more grain tones and detail to the tracks and sky.
All the best!
