The red lighthouse at the end of a structure with great perspective and the crashing waves ? I'd say you have it all here!

Meg: This is a powerful image of nature against artificial structures. Well done!
I don't find that it detracts much from this wonderful image but the horizon should be straight across and not tilted whenever there is a large body of water in the background.
Altogether a very fine effort.

Cool shot! I like the perspective. The lighting is a little harsh though. Dusk or sunset lighting would make a great shot here. A colored sky would reflect very nicely on the wet cement.

Meg: Obviously you are committed, when you are willing to stand in the cold to take at such an unforgiving vantage! Nicely composed with rule of thirds. Many judges suggest to photo from left to right and when I cannot I switch it in photo shop. Would people's eyes move from the left corner to the wave rather than right corner to the left? Try it. Nicely viewed and capture.
