Matej, you have just felt what this region from Brazil is: emptyness, the sound of wild birds and eagles, the cows, the cangaceiros (local cowboys) cries...
I like the sharp grainy look of this photo, I think it goes well with the fence and the foliage. My first impression of the composition was that the photo looks somewhat empty, but I figure that it's because this region *is* empty, so to speak. Wilderness with only minimal signs of human presence. I also appreciate the historical information you have included.
