About One of a new series taken on a glorious mid-February day in St. Ives, Cornwall. What a great place to shoot your digital!
Roger made a good point on a previous upload re. type of lens. I'm afraid I don't normally record whether I've used the S602's built-in lens on macro, normal, or zoom, but this one was taken using the zoom fairly well out ~ as was the previous uplaod of the lighthouse at Godrevy, which was taken on the same day. Thanks for looking. Chris.

Chris, to answer your question, I have an el cheapo Bessa L on which my favourite 21/4 lens lives. I have a Bessa R with a 35mm F/2.5 that I rarely use (there's an infuriating intermittent light leak that makes me reluctant to trust it--lovely lens, though) and a Bessa T with rapid winder. This one houses my Heliar 50/3.5--my very best lens--and can be used with the 135mm F/3.5 Canon, the nearest thing I've got to a "long" focal length. Then there are the two panorama cameras--and the 50-year old Revere 33 Stereo camera. All in active use, no museum pieces or collectors' items among 'em. These will soon be joined by a professional 360-degree rotary camera for wrap-around panoramas. I hope to earn some money with this one. Oh yes, I also have a decrepit old Pentax Spotmatic for M42 lenses. That IS almost a museum piece, though it still works... (my Zenitar shots were all taken with it).

A really lovely image. The colours are clear and well saturated. The distant scene is full of interest (and beautifully sharp), while the four boats, each different but attractive in its own way--I especially like those orange buoys--lead the eye on easily and naturally. Even the sea has the realistic look of water, which is all too rare, and to cap it all, those great clouds. This is one to linger over and savour.
