I have just looked through your portfolio and I am very impressed with your images. I especially like the titles of your pictures. "Pretend Time" is a great portrait. It catches the essence of being four. Congratulations!!!

It reminds me of when I was little and I used to stick my face up to the bars on the banister for a huge staircase that went up to our second story...

Excellent photo! I love the lighting and contrast! The color tone looks incredible and sets the tone very well! I agree with Hugo about the placement of the subject, I like how she is not perfectly centered... it makes it much more... interesting! Excellent job, that is one smart little girl, great idea! :)

Goodness! What did that darling child do to be tossed into the slammer?? Not a bad shot there, CG.

Hi Gayle, Great itimate portrait, and a nice contrast between the innosence and the bars, good detail! I like the slightly off centered composition. I think that adds alot more to the "feel" of the photo. With a perfectly straight from the front and centered composition, you would have lost alot of the emotion to this one. Very subtle change, but a huge difference IMHO. Excellent tonal range, too! My compliments!

As to your question in your comment on Descending into the Smog II (thanks!), the shot was made from a higher ridge, camera pointing South East.. Exposed at +1.5...

Cheers,

Hugo
