I would love to visit and see how things have changed. We still have friends there but it would be good to see for oneself. Also the warmth is appealing right now as it is so cold here. Whereabouts in the UAE do you live?

if you moved the camera a couple of inches down you could see where I work :) that's a lovely contrast.. now Dubai is expanding, closing the gap between it and Abu Dhabi.. every emirate is expanding from four sides!!! I don't know how will it look like in another 14 years!!! thanx for showing it is usefilm :)

I think that this is an outstanding pair of pictures. The contrast in such a short time is remarkable.

Interesting contrast. It has a counterpart in my back yard. Cow pasture to mega development in 15 yrs. Del.

Excellent photos Gabrielle, i find the difference is really amazing, what i love about Dubai is the citizens there, they are too good to be true. And for Fabio, i think the only way they can return to dessert is if the Americans decided Dubai needs more democracy .. right?! other wise Arabs are doing fine on their own, this picture is an example. Thank and regards
