Hi Gabrielle, Well spotted, and a very nice combination of colours. The reflaction of the orange ball on the black one adds a very good touch. Creative and original shot!
What game would that be? See...you are starting...We do not need to see an entire image to get the feel of the shot. Reds, yellow, blue, black. The juxtaposition works because it is random. If you had stacked these for a setup shot, you would probably have separated the reds and moved them across from each other. The photo would have been color balanced, but it also would not have had the random form you have shown here. If you take a straight edge and make an "X" across this photo from each corner, the exact center is....an empty orange area. This plays very well, as the empty spot forces the eyes to move around the image. When that happens, each and every corner is covered in detail and even though not one single ball is shown in its entirety, we are left with the impression we have seen a dozen soccer (SEE! I knows what they is!) balls, in reality we have only seen parts of five and the spatial equivalence of maybe 2 balls. Very well done Gabrielle. Very well seen and cropped, indeed.
