Oh my gosh... a naked tulip. I'm shocked that you would post such an image! :)

Hey Kriss,
It hurt me as much as what it hurt the tulip :-) But it was interesting though :-)

Elisa (my apologies for incorrectly spelling your name earlier!)

Believe me, every petal I pulled off I went "Ouch!" :-)

I have just posted an image of the original tulip, with it's two buds :-)

Hush!!! :-))
It's only now, being in Winter, that I am really spending on flowers. I've struck it lucky in that I have a couple of florist shops where I can buy per stem, thus not having to buy bunches.

As for having a nice garden .. well .. uhm ... yes, lots of shrubs and trees (we have 1/2 acre) but almost no flowers. Have had too many years of dry and less-than-normal rainfall and I lost a lot of roses and plants due to that. So now all I do is keep what I have going and surviving.

I have sown some seeds this Autumn though ... will have to wait and see if anything will happen colourwise - I do not have green thumbs :-(
