About
Meet my stepdaughter... Not her most flattering look, I know. Small clip taken (on a whim) from a spring concert photo (that was blurred from my lack of using a tripod...), and edited in PS.
Dear Dr. Springmann, Thank you very much for your reply. I do have an interest in psychology, having a BS in psychology from Kutztown University. I also have a BFA in Related Arts, and that interest is what has brought me to photography. I do not work in the mental health field, but I have always been interested in Schizophrenia. I have a great aunt with that ailment, and as a young man was somewhat exposed to her alien thought processes. Thank you for mentioning my photo "scream" in the same sentence as Gustav Klimt, for my wife and I are big fans of his work. Your book is now on my list! Kind Regards, Matthew Hoffman
Dear Mr. Hoffman, I came to meet you on the pages of "Usefilm" in a roundabout way, via your comment on Vadin Melamedov's photo "The boiler room". I think that your "Scream" is a very strong photo, the fuzziness adding to its strength and reminding me of Klimt. In your comment on Mr. Melamedov's photo you mentioned psychology (From a Psychological standpoint) and being a psychoanalyst this phrase aroused my attention. I have recently published a book on psychoanalysis, which although psychoanalytically valid, is also intended for the interested non mental-health professional. Two "Usefilm" memembrs own it, and although neither is a mental-health professional, both told me that it was interesting and not difficult to read. The webpage it can be found on, www.drspringmann.com contains information about the book that can be read and downloaded for free and help making one's mind one way or the other. Sincerely yours, Dr. Rafael (Rafi) Springmann
