Dear Sarah,

I know it's very hard to get closer to these guys. I always have the same feeling but I can't never resists. Normally they are very "peaceful" if they are building their nest. Try it again with a little bit more light (perhaps a flash) and we will see ;-)

I did zoom in quite a bit here. My camera doesn't have very good macro options, so it is a bit grainy

this is an interesting macro...too bad it's a little bit grainy and not very sharp. did you use zoom to capture these guys?
