yep, exactly that, Stephen. The repair was simply going to take too long, so for an extra £11 I got a brand new D70 together with 28-80 and 70-300mm lenses! Man, am I a happy bunny!! Kind regards, Chris

Chris, if your stereo slides are standard 35mm slides, the simplest and many feel the best way of viewing them is with a stereo slide viewer, essentially two lenses the right distance apart with one slide going in front of each. Projectors and polarized glasses are a very expensive option but of course the impact is much greater (and a lot more trouble to arrange). Through stereo viewers, though, the effect is really quite like looking at the actual original scene, frozen at the instant you pressed the shutter. The "wow" factor is considerable!

Sounds great, Roger! Do you need special glasses to view them and a special projector to show them?! Kind regards, Chris

When I see such great near-stereoscopic shots as this, I wish that stereo cameras were popular again... and that Usefilm supported stereo images. Can you imagine this in full 3D? Anyway, it's as close as a 2D image can get, very well done! (I may harp on a bit about stereo because I've just taken 36 stereo pairs (slides) on a recent outing and can't really share them...

I like how the eye follows the bridge. Nice comp. The colors are very nice for digital. Did you kick up the colors in an photo editing program? Nice Job....

Chris, Lovely shot with your 'new camera', but have to take you to task - Fancy encouraging Den [Den Thompson usefilm] - my partner - to get one asap. Tut Tut, the more good shots you put on, the more he goes on about it!!!!!!! What is a girl to do? Margaret

I like the colour palette Chris and the composition. What happened to your D100, DOA or uneconomic to repair? I hope you enjoy the D70 as much as I am enjoying mine. Regards John
