About I shot this early on 7/10/04 after a long night of fun. I kinda screwed it up in hindsight... I had been screwing around with some high ISO digital photos a few days earlier and forgot to change it back from the 1600 setting it was at. So there is some noise, but for the three of us... it worked out pretty well. Good memories none the less

AWESOME Shot. I love this composition. Although i agree it looks even better in black and white. This is so cool. 7 + Tim

Thanks George.

I've printed off 5x7's and they still look alright. So I'm not too concerened. I might work with it a little more at some point and try and incorporate some grain effects in PS to make it look as if it was high speed film. We shall see...

Cheers

I think this is a very strong image! I agree with Megan that the noise here is a potential. Sometimes I even add noise for effect--especially in b&w. Hope you don't mind that I did a quick experiment. Finally, I think both versions look pretty good. Nice work!

Good composition on this one. Maybe you can get the noise to work for you...like accentuating it making a graphic prersentation out of it. The guy on camera right has a funny shadow on his face. You could retouch or soften the edges of it so it's not so drastic. Good to see another Wisconian on the site! Keep up the good work. You have some really nice images in your portfolio. You have a good eye for composition which is 2/3 of the battle.

Regards,
Megan
