About These Power Towers as my son christened them in his toddler days (ahhh brief reminisce with dewy eyed nostalgia as the gangly argumentative teen morphs back momentarily into that chubby blonde toddler.....)
Where was I - Oh yes these remnants of a long gone power station are right next to the M1 motorway in Sheffield (Steel City Sheffied as it was once known). I think maybe they are just too near the motoway to be removed but I am probably so AMericanised by now that thats my own thoughts and I am just trying to convince you that is the way it is.
Anyway this is the boys final post of the day and for a while I think before you all start saying how much better HE is than me!

And Meadowhall Shopping Centre (Mall to you Yanks) is just on the left.

This is the route I take to Manchester most days.

Nice shot. Especially shot from a moving car!

and this one also as I was not actually moving at the time...
The 190 mile round trip took 6 and three quarter hours and we averaged 27 mph. I said to the Boy- this is one good reason not to live in England!
