About A peaceful night spent watching the waves roll in at Third Beach in Stanley Park. Smoke was thick in the air from a forest fire up the coast and the sun was a ball of pink fire in the sky. Cokin P173 (Blue Yellow) filter used.

Excellent sunset/nature shot, the composition works well, w/ the disappearing ridges in the background and the rolling sea making for an interesting foreground. Nicely titled as well -

Very well done, Kim. I can almost smell the kelp. Nice leading edge from the right side.

... on the other hand, that curve leading the eye out into the center is a feature I like very much in this photo. The image is a little bit overcompressed in my opinion generating squarish artifacts along the ridges and in the water.

This picture is very colourful! The palette of purple, pink, orange, gold, etc. is a very interesting combination. I notice that there is too much dark and emptiness at the bottom right which detracts a bit from the picture. I might zoom in closer to the water (where it is brighter and more lit up by the sun) to eliminate the darkness of the shoreline.
