For those of you with not a horticultural bone in your body, I should explain that the blooms outside this delightful Norton cottage are called Hydrangeas!!

Good point, Linn!
That's me being in a hurry again! I should have noticed those bits of shrubs sticking up, grabbed my shears and lopped them off!! ;-))
Actually, it would have taken all of 3 seconds in PS!!
Have a good Sunday.
Catch you later.

Morning Mr S :-)
Fabulous sight for a Sunday morning! LOVE the colours and the popping details. Stonework is exquisite! Compo and crop are great.

But ... is it leaning slightly to the right? And while I am finding fault (oops! sorry!) I would have liked to see the bits of shrubbery on the bottom edge removed.

Otherwise a glorious Spracklen cottage "painting" that I love so much.

Chris,

Of all the wonderful photographers that contribute to this site, I must admit that I follow your work more than anyone elses and I have an apology to make! I have never left you a comment :-o ...... this is the first and certainly not the last I promise. I have been an Brit expat for the last 15 years (living in Venezuela) and I am originally from the South West (Bath). Your photos capture everything that is quintessentially English - they make me proud to be a Brit!

I have a great admiration for the energy you have as well as your obvious talent. If you get the chance one day I would love someone to let you loose on Bath, I can only imagine the wonderful results!

My best,
Patrick

A lovely image, Chris, and quite typical of your work. Truly deligthful. I think they were quite daring to choose that particular shade of blue for their door, though. Wouldn't have occurred to me!
