Hi Roger - I read your artist statement but did not think about the fact that this might appeal to you based on that - makes complete sense now though :-)

this one truly does look prehistoric. even without the title, that's the first word that popped into my head. it's almost scary.

This is great. A very interesting technique. Surely it is possible to create colour images using this technique? The "hit-and-missness" of it must be very exciting, as well as its immediacy. This is the most explorative work happening on usefilm right now. Rgds, Svend

Hi Ed - glad you are having the same association I had. I wasn't sure if it was a stretch or not.

Fine art; very nice "graphic" feel.

Thank you Richard - yes, this is essentially a paper negative and while I made two exposures of this pattern while I had it set up, it is very unlikely that I will ever be able to generate it again. The large size is nice not only because of the impact, but there also is no grain.

I'll bet this is impressive in 18 x 20 ! I suppose this would then be an original, one-of-a-kind? It's kind of funny people are not comfortable not knowing what the subject is. Let the imagination roam!

Hello Sara - there is no object... The image is formed by a beam of light passing through an irregularly shaped piece of glass after which it paints this image directly onto photographic paper (hence "no camera", "no lens").

Very interesting approach, but I failed to know what is the object exactly.. :) Looked like an arm to me at first, but now, I'm not that sure.. ;)
