Thankyou Rafi. I am so glad that someone else can not only see the photo but understand what I was trying to portray. I didn't want it bright and cheery but instead to reflect the mood in his face. By adding a light somewhere it would have taken the focus away from the emotion involved. Judi

Thank you, Judi, for your advice.
I took a look at your "Axle", hoping that this is the one you wrote to me about and under the project "shadows" I think that as a "shadow" it is perfectly visible. I can't imagine how it could be regarded as a joke as it seems to me a rather sombre way of portraying a person.
best regards,
Rafi

Thankyou Ray. I will try that. I am disappointed that I couldn't share the full image with you all as I see it on my monitor. But alas we are here to learn, and yes I have learnt from this one. I couldn't ask for any more than that. Judi

hi Judy,
this image is all but totally black on my monitor

a common problem of monitors being set up differently

may be you need to use a calibration technique such as Adobe gamma

this site once had a a grey scale to which an individual's monitor could be set which gave some indication of combatibilty

all this does not mean you have set your monitor wrong, nor does it mean mine is wrong, they are just different, but to be able to communicate the same info we need to use an independent calibration method

you have a good eye for an image, the ones that I can see, shoot more and consider these issues, hope this helps

Yes Ameed. I think everybody views images on their monitors slightly different. It looks great on my monitor, so I was a little shocked with the ratings and comments. I redid the image in the early ours of this morning and will be uploading it next. I have done it in Black and White to hopefully show up more detail. I was almost going to remove the image because of the viewing problems. Judi

Very nice tones Judi, it is a little dark, i would suggest to give it more light, to be able to see the details better without forcing the eye to focus, very well done, i will be waiting for the rest of the series, very well done, regards,

Thankyou for your comment Davide. I seem to have lost my translation button on my UF site and am having difficulties understanding your comment. I would really like to know what you have written or suggested. If you are able to direct me in the nationality or a translation I would very much appreciate it. Judi

Jim, thankyou for your kind words. I really like the angle of this image, even though I get the feeling it is viewing to dark on some peoples monitors. The altered version will be uploaded shortly. Hopefully that will help. Judi

Teunis, I think there are viewing differences between our monitors. I have changed the image and will upload shortly. Let me know if that is an improvement for you. Thanks. Judi

Tugce, I want to thank you. I had my finger on the remove from site button for this image and then I saw your comment. You gave me the confidence to leave it here. For some reason, I feel that some peoples monitors are showing this image way too dark, more than it should be. I have reworked the image into black and white to enhance it slightly and will upload it shortly. Thankyou for encouraging me. Judi

Forse non capisco, o non ho mai capito, la fotografia, ho letto i commenti e non sono d'accordo ... ma li rispetto.
