Gabrielle, Have looked at all three images, and they are so important to keep. My Mum died two years ago this month, - Last Christmas I bought a frame with all these various sizes photo slots - and tried to capure a family history for my Aunt who missed my Mum so much. It just took so much time getting them in their little spaces, but my Aunt said it was the best present she had ever had, and maybe it will be passed on. Thanks for sharing these Margaret

I like it! OOPS re the WWII years - history was never my strong point - much to my dear dads disappointment! What exactly did you do to the photo?

Gabrielle, I've just had a quick try at adjusting on this one. Hope you don't mind. All I've done is adjusted saturation, brightness and contrast and applied unsharp mask. What do you think? Den

Err, excuse me but I thought WWll ended in 1945 or was there another one Gabrielle. Seriously though, these pics are priceless to the family aren't they. I'm sure I have a tut somewhere in a mag re restoration. I'll see if I can find it. Marvellous series. Take real good care of the originals. Den

How I love old photos! People always appear so dignified and distinguished! This one is wonderful.

Very nice series. And if I have not already, sorry to hear about the aunt. I do have a request, however. I have to take items into class next week to use in a Teaching History segment. My group has the 1940's. Everything we bring in MUST be from that decade. Soooooo..... do you still have your maid of honor's dress?
