there are a few things going on content-wise. I'll try to be brief. love the composition. The play on textures is great. "Itchy's" soft fur, the brick wall and cool bars. Also depth of field chosen works well. I'm impressed by the echoing of elongated lines: the stain on "itchy's" eye, the lines in the wall, the bars, the tilt of itchy and his foot leading us down to the stains on the wall. There is a strong presence of humanity (not inhumanity) which makes this shot very strong. a good "decisive moment"

Thanks for the comment on my photo. Kai like any cat/animal has a favorite place. I go with him a lot so he's comfortable with me being there. Also I think he loves to be photographed. my comment to your photo follows.

Very cute, I like photos where the subject is as interesting as the quality of the photo. Love that kitten. Del.

Good shot of the kitten. The light was a tad bright, the white fur is burned out on the cat's left shoulder. Might have worked better if you could have moved in closer?

A famous NY Post photographer once told me if you wanted to be published in the news paper every day make sure you give the layout person a cat or dog photo every day.
