Hello Hugo - the story as I see it flows as I presented it originally and as you show it in the first alternative, other than that I do like the graphical effect of your second version. The first alternative is interesting too although I think the first image should ideally be more different from the other two for it to work optimally. Thank you for taking the time playing with this little puzzle!

Second alternative.... I think I either prefer your presentation or my first alternative...

Cheers,

Alternative Presentation 2

Hi Stefan, Extremely expressive series of portraits. Well captured, and very well presented. One might argue to place the left photo in the middle, as that one differs a bit from the others in composition. Another option is to create a bit more space between the left one and the two others, it would create an unusual composition / presentation, but might be very effective. Only one way to find out, I guess... (see attachment)

Oh, well, it's only a trivial matter; the shots are excellent. I noticed the width of the three images varied; interesting, as I wouldn't have noticed it from the photo.

Cheers,

Hugo

Dear Stefan,

nice triptych. the expressions fit very well together from the left to the right. just wonder about the general unsharpness... A bit too heavy IMHO.
take care,
thilo

These are so cute, Stefan - you've created a wonderful tryptich with this mini-series! Your daughter is so photogenic and, luckily for you, seems to enjoy having her picture taken! I agree with what's been said about the scale of the first photo, but this is great regardless!

Well I personally think its great ... no wait .. Fantastic is what I really think. To me her leveled eyes sort of takes me through the photo almost like I'm reading it from one end to the other. I never even noticed the face until emy pointed it out .... so what you did here worked, all I could do was focus on your intended subject. Once again .. Fantastic.

Thank you Massimo - I don't mind nit picking at all, rather the opposite. It may be amusing to you to hear my thinking as I was chose the crops for this sequence: (1) I wanted the pen in there and rationalized the smaller head as a way to break the uniformity between the shots. (2) I also wanted to keep the eyes approximately level, but had to crop the last one a little higher just to allow the background face to be included :-) I guess it is a little distracting, but strangely enough it seems to me that it is more so in the thumbnail than in the full-size image. Anyway - thank you for the visit and the comments.

Amazing portraits!! The tones and the expressions are fantastic!! It is like a story with the face in the third image's background to bring things upside down as it adds another element, quite narrative, and is still close to the imaginary game of the girl'a facial expression! Is is a potential bad woolf???
I have always wanted to be a cat myself...

You realized a short movie with nice and fine expressions, she?s pretty and a good model too, I agree with Emily about the third shot, furthermore I would have cropped differently the first one, her face is smaller than in the other shots and the hand could be distracting. How we are over-meticolous!!! ;))) Bye, Max

Thanks Emily - what I would truly regret is if you did not tell me.

ha ha... so sweet that can't help but smile... fantastic spontaneous captures with soft tones and great DOF... my only thought would be on the 3rd pic where i find the face at the background a bit distracting (pleeeeeease don't get me wrong)... other than that it is a great series on its own... very well done dear Stefan... regards... emy :)
