Very nice shot Mark. Foreground, background and sky all make it a winner. Barn is placed just right. Very calm looking shot. Congrats. Art.

Hi Mark.
I like this photo. Isn't it odd how the older and more run down a building becomes, the more interesting it becomes, photographicaly speaking. I guess if you build it, they will come,it just might take fifty or sixty years. But I guess you already knew that. Congrats on a good shot.

this is a beautiful landscape. every time ive seen a barn (or really any building) in a dilapidated state such as this (or worse) i always wonder what it was like in better times and how it got to this point. the barn seems to stand out above everything else in this photo.

Great shot. You captured a wide range of colors in and around this barn. I like the border you added to this as well.

Thanks for the kind comments, Armando. You are seeing the clouds just as I saw them. They had a lot of swirls and figures in them. That is one of the things I liked about the shot.

Hi Mark, don't let everything I do influence your way of thinking. It could very well be at that time of day and the dust in the air can make the sky a different color that what you think it should be. I didn't know that you were from the Neola area. Take care and keep shooting you are doing a great job. Don.

Thanks, Don. I guess I oversaturated the colors a bit much. Funny, though, the sky and clouds are just about as pink in my original. Maybe the time of day (about 5) had something to do with it. The landscape does look better balanced in your version.
This barn is located about 2 miles north and a mile west of the high school by the interstate at the Neola exit. (right next door to my sister's house)

Hi Mark, this is a beautiful autumn scene. I probably have driven by this many times but don't remember just where from Neola. The scene seems a little red even in the sky. I have attached my version. Don.
