Andreas, I'm guessing this looked more dramatic on the original slide. Here it just looks a bit dull. That's always the problem when shooting against the sky on an overcast day like this: there's just not enough light in the foreground and you end up with too much contrast. You could have got round it by shooting when the sun was low and sunlight was striking the Lighthouse. Alternatively, if you were deliberately trying to shoot a silhouette, then you needed even more contrast as well as a more striking composition. I think there was room for improvement in the composition. The antenna just seems to clutter the image, and the angle to the tower is neither straight enough for a classic composition, nor tilted enough to go for something more unorthodox. It's just sort of inbetween, which weakens the end result. If this tower is near where you live, why not go back when the light is better and shoot it from every angle you can think of. It would be great experience for the price of a roll of film.
