great lunar eclipse , Ryan
suppose shot was through telescope.
dont know how 1s exposure can be sharp, unless you could follow the object.

Ryan,

Nice job. Just a slightly longer exposure and it would be perfect.

I also got clouded out after totality.

What a great shot. This is not the normal rendition of our celestial partner, and considering the event, has produced great colours.
Top stuff.

Beautiful capture of the total lunar eclipse. The colors depict well the phenomena. Great work.

Ryan,
I indeed missed this phase. But you have it. Nicely done.
Seems I have to wait until 2007 to get another chance :)
Thanks for sharing.

That's right Jeff, it's hard to expose the moon enough during totality without getting movement at the same time. This was a 1 second exposure, with a some enhancing afterwards.

Nicely done! No movement. Happens to me every lunar eclipse because I have to shoot at 4-5 seconds.

damn ryan, too bad you didn't get to see the whole thing. i still dont have a tripod (which really sucks) so my pics came out pretty crappy. this is a great shot...i hope you have some in sequence...

I think this is the best shot of the eclipse I have seen. Great shot. This looks like it should be in an astrology book.

Beautifully taken, with the color going from an orange hue to the purple. Great detail on the crater. Alison
