Hi Jason, I really like the mood of exuberance of this shot! I feel that it might suit a square format quite well, although I do appreciate the bold symmetry between land and sky in the current composition. However, there's a bit too much dark land for my taste, and I think the square format emphasises the vastness of the sky and the sense of freedom you are trying to capture. I have also taken the liberty of slightly adjusting the tones, since I am not so keen on them as they are and just a slight tonal change can completely change the mood in shot like this. I have chosen to warm the tones, giving a sense of sunrise, and the optimusm that conveys. Other tones, for example cool blue, would be equally effective but would convey quite a different mood.
