About Another shot of the lovely Belgian city of Bruges. This is a little lake near to the train station and the shot was taken at about 5PM as twilight wqas setting in

They even put the little lights no for this shot - nice touch.

Not a lot of editing on this - just upped the saturation a bit to get the reds of the leaves and bricks and a little dodgeing in the lake ot get the reflection looking a bit more bold.

Bruges is truely beautiful - a bit like York without all the newer buildings. It seems that every new building was built in the old style so you can't really tell where the old and new border is.

Highly recommended

ummm.... I was a tad rough this day to be fair. was monday and I'd been out on the belgium dark stuff since Thursday :-(

still manages several on the evening over a steak though :-))

disappointing weather though - no decent skes or colours. Took about 500 shots and only about 20 are anything other than holiday snaps. Had to be on ISO 800 and underexposing to get hand holding shutter speeds too - so when you up the levels it's too grainy.

never mind.... only 6 months till spring so it's night photos on tripods till then... in the snow!

Great capture Ade, although I am finding it difficult to spot the "Pub" in this photo ;-)

Cheers Stephen,

As you can probably tell from the photo, the light was very flat over there so to get any reflection was a real bonus.

Definitely recommend a trip to Bruges any time - lots of canals and spires for this kind of shot - just go when it's a bit brighter!

Cheers

Ade

I really like this shot. Nice lines and patterns. I also feel that the rule of 3rds was used very well along with the composition as the reflection and building are cropped very well. Nice shot. Ciao
