About Yesterday afternoon in Lyme Regis, (our day off postponed by the fact that Carole had to work on Tuesday), and it was dry!! In fact, as you can see from the cliff-tops in the distance, the sun even shined!!

What a great place!! I never tire of it. The tea shop's pretty good, too! Nice shortbread!

Best regards to all,

Chris

P.S. I'm just taking a short, much-needed mental break from putting together Roland's funeral service, which I'll be leading at 1.30 tomorrow afternoon.

These shots bring a smile to my face. It reminds me of Pin Mill, near Harwich, where I used to hang out quite alot when sailing from the Netherlands to the UK. Fabulous shot, especially because of the lighting on the hill in the background...

Cheers,

Hugo

No, I wouldn't swap, Roger!! In fact, I can't see myself ever stopping being a pastor ~ though I would like to slow down a bit in a few years time and maybe spend a day or two a week developing my photography! But who knows?
Have a good weekend and thanks for the comments.
Best regards, Chris

Baptisms are the fun part. Funerals are where you really have to give... tough calling, Chris, but would you swap it for ANY other job? Well, I can just about imagine you becoming a professional landscape photographer, of course... But probably much more fun to keep that skill as a hobby.

THose boats look like they have been at my bottle of wine. What a lovely composition this is Chris, the boats all 'tipsy' and in shadow and that shaft of sunlight on the hills. MArvellous.
It must be a very hard task for you, and I sincerely hope that it goes as well, as these occasions can go, my thoughts will be with you.

I guess that explains the triple keel on these boats. when they get caught in low tide, they have a "kick stand" like a bicycle and won't tip over. Nice POV Chris and the subject is very interesting, good exposure and so sharp !!!!

One amazing shot Chris. Each and every element of it could make a shot in it's own right, the sky, the distant hill, and so many of the boats. But all together it's great. The exposure across the scene if spot on.
My best wishes for tomorrow Chris, I would like to endorse Steve's sentiments.
