About the summer had been full of sunshyn
full of sparkling dreAms
that became truth

there was so much joy
n we laughed all day long
with the suN dancin in our eyeS

in the warmth of the nights
the stars caressed our face
and we felt we belong together

but one day we woke up
and suddenly summer was gone
just as light as a fedder

nothing really had changed
but the change was there
it made me kinda sad

coz I knew it would never be the same
and this happens every year...
so now I'm waiting for summer to come

[annie Ferderer... Sarah, I don't want to see you leavin...!!]

This is really a beautiful portrait, I love the inclusion of the blurred fruit. And the blue tones from the table are marvelous. I do like what Jeff did in making it more of a sunny autumn day, while the main image is more of a wintery theme, it works either way. The only thing I dislike is the way the background is blurred-like a painting. Would prefer something that looks a bit more natural. Other than that I do like the sweet heartfelt smile the young lady has on her face. Overall a nice piece~

Annie, You are right, her face is too green - don't go by my quick tweak, I am partially color-blind and always have trouble with color correcting skin tones, that is one of the reasons I shoot models with a gray, white or black background whenever possible - easier to color-correct. The attempt was to warm the tones to something more normal and I guess green is not normal unless she was sea-sick

=)

thanks Jeff, no, this wasn't shot intentional...
It was during a shooting with Sarah...

Today when I picked this one to be added on usefilm, the title came into my mind and suddenly I wrote the poem about it... ;-)

Every year when autumn comes in it's beauty, I'm still sad about the leavin of the summer... :)
I guess that's just me....

=) what I don't like about your version is that her face looks so green to me... but I saw what you meant...

thanks for commenting!!

Well done Annie. Not sure if this was intentional, shooting her in the shade and also the blue table gives her a blue cast - unless that is the look you were after - feeling blue. Just mentioning it in case it wasn't intentional.
