The area I live in is bisected by pylons which connect Gloucester & Cheltenham. Normally ignored I was taken with them early one morning when walking the dog. The area was still flooded as it's part of the flood plain, the reflections and early morning light made this usually dreary area more interesting. Some drop off in light at the bottom of the frame, not sure why?
Toni, you are right about it looking grainy, it was 100 speed so I don't understand, You are also right about taking more time, deliberating to get the better shot, it will flood again soon so I'll go back Vladimir, I couldn't make up my mind about the branches, and I take your comment, they are distracting.
Kevin, this photograph has potential. The reflections are great. I don't know what the problem is, but it looks like a very grainy image on my monitor. I thought you had used high speed print film when I first looked at it. Was this Elite Chrome 400? I realize you may not have planned this shot, just happened upon it, but try to shoot something with this potential with a slow, extremely fine grain film, on a tripod. Also use a graduated filter to balance the sky and water. I learned that the extremely hard way.
