Manu,
I'd also suggest cropping some part of that black base, it make the image feel heavy. I would probably also experiment with placing the two cooling towers off the the left or right of frame too.

Thanks Marco...I had a look at this website you suggested and yes he has some great shots of chimneys...although I had never heard of him before I think it is people like you and certain others on Usefilm that inspire me more.
Many thanks and keep in touch

I like the smoke and the two towers, but i think it does look slightly better in BW. Either that or bit more contrast or colour somewhere. I do like your borders recently but maybe a little thinner for this one

I think other than the clouds there's not a lot of depth in this. Very nice clouds and vapors, but no depth. I think this presents better in BW. See what you think. I also added a touch of omni lighting to the center to try and distance the two stacks a little.

...an interesting gloomy industrial scenario, manu! it remembers me a work about power stations of important photograph, Michael Kenna. Do you need some suggest about your composition? ..mmm...maybe the composition is too much a bidimensional scene but i like it in this way, mainly, the contrasted vapours against the sky.
meanwhile, i have found an inspiration for your industrial work :-)

I do like it. The black form at the bottom and the suggestive clouds. IF there would be something - i would add more contrast.
