About The first of 2 "White Lillies" that I shot the other day. I was ghoing to just concentrate on a single bloom but this was hard to isolate without destroying the flower. So, instead I decided on the composition below. The second is similar but from a slightly differeny angle.

Camera settings: white balance to tungsten preset and picture quality to minimum compression. ISO set to 64, tripod used and timer release.

Hi James,

This shot of the lillies shows up beautifully on my monitor. You have so many nice florals in your portfolio, but this one stands out for me.

My favourite among your photos. Care and preparation made this an excellent capture - one made for the greeting cards and posters, so appealing. Well done. Cheer, Art

Thanks for taking the time to comment Randy, in particular the comment about the frame is a great help. Choosing te frame is an important part and I always try to choose one that compliments the image and does not distract the eye. Cheers.

Pretty and delicate flower you've captured well.
Nice lighting and very pleasing colors. I like your simple border that compliments without distracting from the image, as I see too many that I believe get carried away and have a frame that competes with the subject. Nice work.
