Hi Lori,
I had to laugh when I read your remarks. The last time I tried to get some nice close ups of some flowers/plants I had the same problems. I don't know how many times I said "Oh come on!!" waiting for the wind to die down.

Anyway, does this flower really really that fragile (like it'll died down just couple of second after it blooms?) gosh! What a pity...

Don, I saw that segment tonight on Death Valley. WOW, I could hardly believe my eyes, seeing all those flowers in DV!! That really is amazing.
California has had way more rain than then I can remember!!

Hi Lori, The desert is the most beautiful that I have seen it in some 15 years. I have been out several times and it is just a wonder. Death Valley was on our nightly news NBC this evening. They can't remember when it has been this good. Makes you wonder how the seeds survive so long before they sprout. Don.

It sure was worth staying until sunset!
Here is a photo showing the whole field, unbelievable. Still have to go out again since there are still more flowers yet to come. So many different kinds. And to go to the desert other times of the year, one would never guess how it comes alive with color! :)

Isn't the desert beautiful this year. One of our club members gave me information on this area a couple of weeks ago but we have so many flowers here that we didn't need to drive over to Ca. The lighting is great for this pretty little flower. Don.
