About Branching out from loving B&W to finally taken some colour shots to be proud of - well I thought so! Really bright day so I used the harsh light with the bright colours, hopefully to good effect.
Shot with my 70-200mm lens @110mm f2.8 ISO100 and still shooting at 1/2000sec
Fill flash used to ensure the eyes were seen.
A fairly straight fwd shot I think but fairly bold in its statement.
Is the crop right here? It's how I choose to take it - straight from the camera.
Small amount of PS work on levels bringing out the colour in the wall a little more.

Hey Matt...I probably like Five the best (if it wasn't in half..heheh) Simple ps job here...convert to BW with a channel mixer adj. layer...then paint on that layer's mask with black, over her body, to mask out the BW effect.

Jan,
And how do I do that? Is it time for tutiorial number 2? I like this idea.
It's funny how many times i've seen such shots and considered taking something specifically to do that - then when I actually take a colour sizzler I didn't think of it myself!
So, tutorial 2 pls. Am I gonna have to cut round her carefully? I don't do patience!
Rgds
Matt
PS - Which is your fav shot from this series of 3? Have you seen the other 2?

BOLD Shot, Matt! I think you handled all that color really well! Now, if you feel like playing... make the wall B/W and keep her in color...then she's really pop!!

Congrats

Matt, Great Shot! The colors look great and very well balanced! The subject matter of the shot is really cool! It looks so urban that you can hear the noise of the city almost. And what she is wearing fits in perfectly with the backgroud. She is extremely photogenic and you have captured a great picture! One of my favorites!
